Kate Winkler Keating, Vice President, joined the Duberstein Group after working in a variety of senior-level Capitol Hill positions. Most recently, she served as the Chief of Staff to Congressman Joseph Crowley, who was Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, the fourth-highest ranking member in the House Democratic Leadership, and a member of the House Ways and Means Committee. After working more than two decades on Capitol Hill, Kate has built one of the most expansive networks within the House Democratic Caucus, and is a trusted advisor to members and staffers on both sides of the aisle.

Kate was the strategist behind Chairman Crowley’s ascent into the House leadership, managing his successful elections as Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus and as Caucus Chairman. She served as the Chairman’s top advisor, overseeing floor operations and member services, managing his policy priorities and legislative work, serving as his principal liaison to congressional candidates, and developing and maintaining his expansive network of relationships on and off the Hill.

Beyond her tenure as a top leadership aide, Kate also spent significant time engaged in health care policy. She got her start working for Congresswoman Nita Lowey, Chair of the Appropriations Committee, where she served as her key staffer at the Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Subcommittee, and authored groundbreaking legislation to improve the readability of food ingredient statements for those with life-threatening food allergies (P.L. 108-282). She was also Legislative Director to Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, a former member of the Ways and Means Committee.

A native of New Jersey, Kate graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in anthropology.
