Elizabeth Kelley is a Vice President at The Duberstein Group, having joined the firm from the Urban Institute where she served as Vice President of Philanthropic Partnerships.
During the Obama-Biden Administration, Elizabeth served as Special Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to the National Economic Council, where she advised the Director on domestic and international economic policy and coordinated efforts between the Executive Office of the President, the Departments of Treasury and Commerce, and other economic agencies.
Before joining the White House staff, Elizabeth served as Assistant United States Trade Representative for Private-Sector Engagement. As part of the interagency at USTR, Elizabeth worked with senior Administration and cabinet officials on trade coalition and Fortune 100 C-suite outreach, and briefings in the effort to pass the Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities and Accountability Act of 2015.
Prior to her service in the executive branch, Elizabeth was Chief of Staff to former Senator John Walsh of Montana, and Deputy Chief of Staff and long-time Political Director to then-Senator Max Baucus, former Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee and former Ambassador to China.
A native Oregonian, Elizabeth has extensive experience with her home state delegation. She has worked for Senator Ron Wyden, Chairman of the Finance Committee, Senator Jeff Merkley, and Congressman Earl Blumenauer.
Elizabeth lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, two children, and their two dogs.
